Attending Church doesn’t make you a Christian

Attending church to show your neighbour that you are a good person does not win points with the Lord, nor does it help you build that important relationship with Him. Even if you thought you were a good person, were kind to people and tried to help people when you could.
I must tell you, from personal experience that I was there in a way. The difference may have been is that I prayed the prayer of salvation quite a bit earlier in my life, but I was a ‘Laodicean’* Christian. Just because you consider yourself a Christian, because you believe, you must “walk the walk”. It is not a “once saved, always saved”, scenario. Otherwise, someone could become a Christian, and then go and break all the Commandments and still be saved, do you really think that’s why God’s Commandments were written in stone.

*Revelation 3:14-16
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

The only way to truly be a Christian is to Love God with All your Heart and Soul and doing so you will want to keep His Commandment’s and Love your neighbour as yourself. The Holy Spirit will give you guidance through your prayers. As Christians during these trials are coming to realize, we cannot be Lukewarm for the Lord or even Cold…We have to be on Fire for the Lord!!!
