I had an odd experience the other day while listening to a YouTube video. It was from a channel I usually listen to so am kind of used to the content and messages, but this one particular video struck me like it was trying to manipulate me into thinking a way different than the way I believe. I felt like I was almost being hypnotized as I couldn’t pause the video or get out of it, thank goodness an ad started right after that that snapped me out of it. (which usually drives me crazy, but this time was great) It made me wonder how many other videos out there are being used in that way.
It would be easy for Satan’s minions to put out a video and make it look like it’s from a Christian Church and falsify the message to lead Christians astray. They probably are doing that now, what better time with Covid-19 and people having watch services from home. We have to be on guard and make sure the message follows the Bible precisely. Satan knows the Bible also.
There are many messages on YouTube these days from many good Christians with great messages. I’m just asking you to beware of false teachings, if they give a Bible reference, pause the video and look it up yourself. Make sure you are not taking their message as the truth. I deleted my subscription to those videos, because of the feeling I got, I can’t say for sure whether videos can manipulate us for sure. Tell me what you think below. Gus
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
Galatians Chapter 5
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
