There are all kinds of diets out there these days, and most are to help you lose weight or regain some of that youthfulness we once had. Many of us can certainly lose a few pounds, me included and our doctors usually say if we are overweight, that it will help our overall health. I have never had a doctor tell me I would live forever, have you?
I know many of your friends have said, “oh, you really have to try my new diet, you only eat cabbage soup for two weeks and you can lose 10 pounds”, or you have to try this new diet… those are only temporary fixes, if you go back to eating what you were eating before you’ll gain your weight back and more.
This Bread and Wine Diet is completely different. It takes you just as you are right now, this very minute, this very second and soon as you start it and gives you everlasting life. That’s a pretty bold statement… you won’t see that advertised on TV. The only thing about this diet, similar to the others, but not quite as bad, because you are given a personal helper, is you need to stay on it. You can falter, all of us do, none of us are perfect, but as you continue your whole perspective in life will change. The creator of this diet had to sacrifice his son in order to give this diet to each and every one of us. His son did so willingly, although the pain and torture he suffered was horrendous. The diet is very old, about 2000 years old and was actually written down in the Bible a couple of times.
Luke 22:19-20
19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake [it], and gave unto them, saying, this is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup [is] the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
1 Corinthians 11:23-25
23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the [same] night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake [it], and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also [he took] the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink [it], in remembrance of me.
Three days after Jesus was buried, he rose again. He came as our example that if we believed in him, that he was the Son of God and that through him we would have everlasting life.
If you decide to follow this diet there are no forms to fill out, it costs no money, it just requires your sincere commitment. Go to a quiet place where you’ll be left alone and pray… Dear Lord, thy God, thankyou for sending Jesus to be our example on how to live our lives, thankyou for his sacrifice that believing in him we can have everlasting life, please forgive me of my sins and help me follow you in my life. Send the Holy Spirit to guide me and start me on my journey, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
