Sticks and Stones will Break my Bones…

So, I don’t know if you read my blog “Are you Red Pilled”, or not, this particular one delves in a whole lot deeper. I’d say going back to about the 1st century. It might be totally unbelievable to you, in fact to the point of you throwing those, “sticks and stones” at me, hence the title.

In quite a few of my blog posts the underlying theme is “things are not what they seem”. Satan has been manipulating this world since he was cast down here with his fallen angels. Rev 12:9 He didn’t stop with Adam and Eve. One of the biggest changes he has done has to do with…argh I don’t want to say. Words do hurt me.

Well let me put Hebrews 4 in here and maybe you’ll get what I’m about to tell you.

Hebrews 4:1-16
1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

That’s right I’m talking about Sabbath or Shabbat (from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday). You see God made the Sabbath, the day of rest and man through Satan changed it. Constantine changed it when he wanted to become a Christian Church from his Sol worshipping Church that worshipped on Sunday. In the Pagan Roman Catholic Church, you see halos on pictures and statues, some say they assimilated the artistry from the religion of Sol Invictus into the Christian Church.

By now some of you are saying this is an old mosaic law that was done away with, and you can give me text after text in the Bible that will show that it was. Sunday worship has been around for centuries. Only the Jewish people and few other churches rest on Saturdays. A lot of the Jewish people aren’t even Christians and the other churches that rest on Saturdays are all cults.

What’s Mosaic about this…
Genesis 2:2-3
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3 And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

And Hebrews 4 above. If God rested on the seventh day, what right does man have to change the day. Afterall it is the 4th Commandment; it must be important. Sure, we can attend church any day of the week, sure we can worship God any day of the week, but the Day of Rest is just that. You don’t go to church and then go shopping afterwards, go do your daily chores (unless you’re a farmer) or mow the lawn. It’s a day to spend fellowshipping, worshipping the Lord, praying, visiting shut-ins, meditating and or resting.

Some say it was changed before Constantine, but the important point is God didn’t change it. If he wanted it changed, he wouldn’t “pussy-foot around” it he would say. Just like he said it in the Old Testament, and he said it in the New Testament. God Rested on The Seventh Day!

Leave your comments below and your sticks and stones, might make a nice fence. Wood is way too expensive.

I'm retired, always have to be doing something. Have been working on computers since about 1986...I guess that should be playing those days. Did a fair bit of desktop publishing in the 90's through the 2015's and finished off with web building. Took a few courses, built 5 or 6 small business sites in our town and did maintenance on them while working at my paper.
