Hate is a word that is used quite a lot in today’s society. By definition it means, “intense hostility and aversion usually deriving from fear, anger, or sense of injury. – Merriam-Webster Dictionary”. It can fester inside of you and grow. Did you know that Satan uses that hatred? He’ll tell you that you’re right to hate that person, that person wronged you and you need to tell the world about them. By doing so that hate will spread and in turn others you care for feel hatred towards that person. That’s Satan job to get us to Sin, yes hatred is a Sin. It breaks the sixth Commandment, thou shalt not murder. 1 John 3:15 – “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.”

Instead, God asks us to Love our enemies, if someone has wronged you to forgive them, because the only way God will forgive you is if you forgive others.
Matthew 6:15 – “But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
1 John 2:11 – “But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.”
Matthew Chapter 5 – 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help you forgive those that have wronged you and forgive them. If you’re the one that’s hated ask forgiveness from them that hate you and pray that they will forgive you. Their eternal life hangs in the balance. Certainly, don’t hate them back, as then your eternal life also is at risk. This is the perfect scenario for Satan to get his grips into both of you. John Chapter 13 – 34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Most of us have been affected by Hate in our lives. It can be family members, neighbours, fellow workers absolutely anyone. Don’t fall into Satan’s trap and let it fester. Pray for help.

“He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.”

“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?”
