If it is Good Enough for God, then how can it be anything but good enough for me.
Genesis 2:2-3 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Many Christians worship on Sunday and that’s wonderful, I’m not saying you shouldn’t worship on Sunday or really any day of the week, but the seventh day is special. It is a day to rest in the Lord, a day to rest with the Lord. Jesus rested on Sabbath (the seventh day) even from the grave. When Jesus was with his disciples, he would have mentioned another day of worship if the day of rest had changed.
Hebrews 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
The change came about when Emperor Constantine became a Christian convert. He incorporated the then Paganism religious group and church over to a Christian one. He used the same church with all its statuary and renamed them… Jesus, Mary, etc. You will notice that most statues and paintings of religious people in the past and present, have halos above their heads, which is from the sun worshipping Pagan religion that the Romans had before they brought a form of Christianity in. Constantine also made a Decree that the Day of Rest be changed to Sunday from Sabbath (Saturday), as they many still worshipped the Sun God in their previous belief system. Some of you may say that everyone does it, how wrong can it be? Well, if you knew that even in the New Testament it mentions that God still rests on the Seventh Day Sabbath, would you still think that way? God did say to keep His Commandments. What is the fourth Commandment? (Not the Catholic commandments as they were changed for their needs.)
Hebrews 4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
Exodus 20:9-11 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
I think, at least for my self, I would rather rest with the Lord than on a day chosen by a previous Roman Emperor.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
